Royal Bank (RBC) and Fast Pay.

Fast pay, in the context of employment or financial transactions, offers numerous benefits. First and foremost, it provides individuals with quicker access to their hard-earned money, alleviating immediate financial pressures and allowing for more flexibility in managing expenses. Overall, the speed of payment is a win-win, fostering financial well-being for individuals and promoting a more efficient and prosperous economy.

In the Gig world, fast pay is ususally offered as a debitcard deposit and requires the driver to enter the card number, expiry date and secret code to proceeed with the transaction. In the case of some RBC client cards, these do not have dates and codes on them, causing confusion and despair when entered. Thsi article will show how to setup Fastpay with these cards.

If your card looks like the one here you will notice that there is no expiry date on this card. This makes it difficult to enter that information. You need to apply for a "Virtual Visa Debit" card from RBC to begin registering for fast pay.

Once you have your virtual visa debit card you will have a card that has a date and a cvv on it that is tied to your bank account, but since this is technically a "Visa" card, it will not be accepted for debit deposit.

The trick to this is that you need to enter your Client Card Number from your regular client card and use the expiry date and cvv numbers from the virtual visa debit card. This combination will let you register your RBC account for fastpay deposits.

** I have verified that this works on the Doordash and Skip/Grubhub networks. Have been unable to setup on Ubereats using this method.
